A friend recommended me to this restaurant and I drove quite some distance to try it out because they had such high praise for it. The food was so good I made the trip a second just to try it again and I'm just waiting until the end of this month try make that trip a third time. The Patties are special and I'm not talking like those frozen patties you buy in the store, these are made fresh and I promise you they're way better than that other stuff. The jerk chicken is reminiscent of home (Jamaica) and the oxtails are nice and tender. I also love the fact that they have a variety of authentic Jamaican beverages to choose from.
The food is fresh. The vegetables are cooked just right, not mushy. I often get the goat Curry play the small one is just the right size and the goat is done just the way it should be. Also I had a rush order for a large number of their meat patties which a really good. The pastry is very flaky and the filling is delicious. And even though I made the order at the last minute they got it together for me. This place is really good I highly recommend it.
It was really good! We got a jerk pork plate and a jerk chicken plate. The chicken was much more tender but both had great flavor. House made juice was also good. Prices were very reasonable; the food was priced as expected but the house made juice and all the bottled beverages were cheap. We will definitely go back!
I had never had this kind of food before so I really have nothing to compare it to, but it was my first time in Houston visiting my best friend. We got one of the vegan dishes, I believe it’s called roti, and I was in love. Craving it now! The cabbage, chick peas, potatoes, plantains—all delicious. Also, customer service was not a problem at all. I wish everyone else had the experience we had. I will be back there again on my next visit to Houston!
Had the Jerk chicken meal, large. It was brought out in a well time, and the waitress was super nice. The plate was large and every inch was covered with something to eat. Plus for the price that's a bonus. Wife had ox tail small, and was really pleased with the dish. The Jerk is in a sauce so if your looking for a dry this may not be your pick. The sauce is moldy sweet with a spice on the back end, which makes it easy to enjoy. The chicken was cut into 4 PC and that's better than the half chicken approach. Rice and peas were great. Not dried out to say it's not sitting under a heat lamp all day. Also had a beef patty and that was way better than some off the shelf Walmart stuff. So being from Dallas and having this cuisine I'm pleased. Hope to visit again if I'm back in the area.
I recently found out about this restaurant through a friend. I've eaten there twice and each time meal was simply delicious. The Oxtails just melt in your mouth and the rice and peas is to die for. The jerk chicken really reminds me of the jerk chicken from Jamaica which is always good when they say its jerk chicken and it really has that authentic taste. The plantains are the best I've tasted in the US and to make each experience even more memorable the customer service was phenomenal.

No gangsta atmosphere nestled in a corner across from Sharps Town High.. Awesome food. My hubby goes weekly for goat and ginger bread. Awesome ginger bread and the price is fair... Staff will have you in and out no worries a tal....
The food was great. Service with a smile. Not a long wait to order and food service. Food presentation excellent. Price is reasonable. Clean restroom. Music ambience had me dancing in my seat. I would recommend to visit.
